NSA Intercepts -New Documents For Background

As Washington suits up for the NSA intercept clash tomorrow, Specter calling AG Gonzalez's explanations "strained" and "unrealistic", and DDNI Hayden insisting that FISA's post-USA PATRIOT Act 72-hour leeway for warrants is "not a hallpass", GWU's National Security Archive has an interesting new read. In documents obtained via successive FOIA requests, the Archive now has available debates swirling around the enactment of FISA in addition to several reports regarding pre-FISA interception activities. Very interesting and worth the read. Find the Archive's information here.
